CRACK! is a dance-theatre solo performance which explores the intangible connection between the individual self and the greater picture of the society. Following two characters and their different points of view, CRACK! opens the discussion about emigration. People, socially driven, look for definition and clarity. Hence, stability is commonly considered the best form of living: mental stability, career stability, relation stability etc. are widely seen as life goals. However, the humankind must cohabit with the constant transformations that happen on interior and exterior levels. The changing lines inside the personalities and the blurring borders around force everybody to embrace the change or… a crack occurs. In a parallel between geopolitical issues and the intimate self, CRACK! explores these points. Key words of the research process are traditions, self-opening, receptiveness, transformations alongside the confrontation between the historical pasts of the creators’ cultures.
