Judith is a dance piece inspired by the Old Testament Book of Judith. The performance crosses the languages of great contemporary dance (with inspirations from Ohad Naharin and Sasha Waltz) and video projection.

The Book of Judith is about the ability to see far ahead: in the face of a world in which short-sighted desperation prevents the creation of long-term plans, Judith is the only person who manages to devise a plan of salvation with lasting consequences. The vision of a single woman, inspired by faith, succeeds in changing the fate of her people.

Faith is understood here as an act of supreme trust and listening, it is the ability to see beyond the present. Relying allows the project that each person has for themself to be modified by what is happening around them.

Today there is a need for new heroes: ordinary people who have the ability to listen, to foresee what will happen and to act in time. There is a need for long-range thinking, for plans that build a lasting world, for solutions that prevent tomorrow’s problems.
