On the Dag van de Dans the Ultima Vez building transforms into an interactive video art museum!
The visitors will wander around the multifunctional spaces of the house, finding in each room a tailored video. 9 dancers linked to the company have been performing special solos in those very same spaces: the visitors will hence experience a time-shifting experience, finding themselves in a space that, if now empty, was lively inhabited by the movement. The space is the same, the time is different.
Artists kept creating relentlessly, during the last months of lockdown. It was a hidden process, behind closed doors, that now comes to the surface and starts to show its face to an unknown audience.
Lastly, through a window, the visitors will sneak a dancer rehearsing live: this is meant as a statement towards the sector’s current situation. In Belgium, as in most part of Europe, no show can be live watched, no matter the audience’s precautions. How long will we be forced to cage our work?
